Terms of Service

BooksCheckup is an automated bookkeeping analysis tool. You upload QuickBooks Online export files, and our software analyzes them to produce a Books Health Score — a snapshot of potential issues in your books — along with an optional Fix Guide that explains how to address each issue.

The analysis is performed entirely by automated software. No human at BooksCheckup reviews your files or your results.

We work hard to make the analysis useful, but we make no warranty — express or implied — that it is complete, accurate, or error-free. Your books may contain issues that our tool doesn't flag. Conversely, something flagged may turn out not to be a problem in your specific context.

Use the output as a starting point for review, not as a final audit.

• Price: The Fix Guide costs $49 (USD), a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
• What you're buying: A single, personalized Fix Guide report delivered to your email, based on the specific files you uploaded in that session.
• Refunds: Because the Fix Guide is a digital product that is generated and delivered immediately, all sales are final once the report has been delivered to your email. If there's a technical failure that prevents delivery, you are entitled to a full refund — see our Refund Policy for details.
• Payments: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. BooksCheckup never stores your payment card information.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BooksCheckup and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to financial loss, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of (or inability to use) this service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of BooksCheckup shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the transaction giving rise to the claim (i.e., $49 or less).

These limitations apply even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations — if that applies to you, the limitations apply to the fullest extent the law allows.

By using BooksCheckup, you agree that you will not:

• —Upload files you don't have the right to share (e.g., someone else's financial records without authorization).
• —Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the service.
• —Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• —Attempt to circumvent payment to access paid features.

The BooksCheckup scoring methodology, Fix Guide format, and all site content are owned by BooksCheckup. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission. Your uploaded files remain yours — we just use them to run the analysis, then delete them.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
